I guess you get what you wish for. Karen's kidnapping turned out to be a surprise dinner for me at Dave and Buster's! It was so funny because I saw Ryan, and I thought, "Hey, that guy looks like Ryan." And then even when I saw Vanessa and Jen and Shane and the rest, I thought, "Oh, how funny, I wonder what they're doing here ..." LOL! Sometimes I'm such a dork. It's so easy to trick me, it's not even a challenge. I was so so so happy because my really good friends from work were there.

AND THEN!!!!! I opened my present ... and it was an Ipod Mini in GREEEEEEN!!!! I almost died from delight! I'm pretty sure I clapped my hands furiously like a happy little child. Thanks Wilson (I think that was a joke, but just in case) for remembering that I wanted it and thanks Christine for getting it from Apple for me! And sorry Joseph for forgetting to hug you!

AND THEN, I came into work this morning and was greeted by this:

I was so so so so so so happy! I can't even describe it in words! I really can't! And I am so thankful to everyone! Thanks Karen! Thank you, Shannonanannon! Thanks Joseph! Gracias Terry! Salamat Trace! Thanks Jen! Thank you, Shane and Ryan! Mahalo Vanessa! Danke Wilson! And thanks so much to Christine! Also Maraming salamat to the mysterious elves who decorated my lobby. It looked fabulous, and I felt so very special.

All day long people were wishing me happy birthday. It was hilarious whenever people from HR came through. They would yell, "Whooo hoooo! Partaaaay!" and make a bunch of noise. Too funny!

And Gracie came by for lunchy

And toward the end of the day, when I was sorta tired and feeling like this:

THE BEAR CAME WALKING THRU THE DOOR!!!! Bear came up from LA for my birthday! He drove up just for my birthday coz he knew I wanted him to be here. And he brought beer and lilies (my fav) and a balloon =D Yay bear!!

And I got a b-day hug from the flake (jk, but you know who you are =P) And calls and texts and IMs from Sharonita and Pavy and the OLEEEEver (I miss you guys so much!!) and Jess and my Ate Liza!

And I went out to dinner with my family at Christine's restaurant. Yummy! And I let my mom dress me in the presents she got for me because I know it makes her happy. And then we came home and the two little munchkins helped me blow out the candles on my birthday cake. Boy, there were a lot of candles. And ... =P

I didn't wake up today more confident and decisive, however, I don't think I have ever felt more loved. Maybe I am just easily contented, but I feel blessed and privileged to know so many kind, thoughtful people. So, even though my life isn't perfect, I think today helped me remember that it could be so much worse, and I have a lot to be thankful for.
