A Saturday well spent

On Saturday morning, my friend from work called me up and we went running around Lake Merced again. Yay, two weekends in a row! Let's see if I can keep this up =) I just hope my knee doesn't give out.

While we were running, we decided to go get decorations for another coworker's birthday; we wanted to decorate her desk. So, we went to Party City, and as soon as we walked in we saw this HUGE, heart-shaped balloon with a pink boa around it. It was love at first sight =P We took forever deciding on what kind of banner to get, how many balloons to buy (we wanted to cover her desk in balloons), what color the streamers should be, etc. Finally, it was time to decide on the mylar balloon. We were trying to decide between this Care Bear balloon and the GI-normous one we saw when we first came in. We knew Terry liked Care Bears, but I had my heart set on the larger one, and it was far more embarassing ... So, we got both. heheheh!

Then, we started discussing the logistics of decorating. The original plan was to get to work early on Monday morning and decorate then, but Christine and I didn't really feel like waking up early and we had a bunch of balloons to blow up, so we decided to just go right then. Going to work on a Saturday? Ewwww right? And, it's not like the office is superclose either. BUT, we weren't going to actually do any work, so I guess it's OK. Anyway, here are some pics of our handiwork ...

Terry's office has glass walls, meaning everyone who walks by can see inside ... muahahahahah!

The birthday banner is My Little Pony. We figured that show and Care Bears were about the same time period.

That's me on the side blowing up one of many balloons, which is really scary by the way. It's like living on the edge -- trying to see how big you can blow up the balloon before it pops. Yeah, that's how boring my life is; blowing up balloons is thrilling ...

If you look closely, you can see the Care Bear balloon next to the boa balloon; you can kind of get an idea of the boa balloon's proportions by comparing the two. The Care Bear balloon is the normal size.
