Roomies =)

I just talked to my first year roommate on the phone. I was in bed dozing off when the phone rang. It was the Bear, and he was like, "Guess who's here!" How funny! She was randomly in LA hanging out with my friends down there. I miss Lani! That was so long ago! I can't even believe it's been 5 years. I remember how she would come into our room, flop down on the bed, sigh dramatically, and proceed to fill Pavy and me in on the current "crisis" in her life. I remember how all three of us would lie in our respective beds and talk at night, as we waited for sleep to take us. Wow, we were so young -- I can't believe how young I was literally and figuratively. When you think about it, leaving home when you're 18 is kind of scary. I was definitely still a child when I started college. Man, that was so crazy and random. I'm still reeling from surprise; I can't even think straight. It was so good to talk to her. We're gonna plan a roomie reunion. I'm excited =) I just e-mailed Pavy and her about it, which is why I am writing on my blog at 1:26 AM on a Friday night/Saturday morning. I hope this is coherent. I guess I will end with the song that has been stuck in my head since I heard it on the drive home. It seems somehow appropriate:

Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
wake me up when september ends

like my fathers come to pass
seven years has gone so fast
wake me up when september ends

here comes the rain again
falling from the stars
drenched in my pain again
becoming who we are

as my memory rests
but never forgets what I lost
wake me up when september ends

summer has come and passed
the innocent can never last
wake me up when september ends

ring out the bells again
like we did when spring began
wake me up when september ends

here comes the rain again
falling from the stars
drenched in my pain again
becoming who we are

as my memory rests
but never forgets what I lost
wake me up when september ends

Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
wake me up when september ends

like my father's come to pass
twenty years has gone so fast
wake me up when september ends
wake me up when september ends
wake me up when september ends
